Chamois, reached by cable car from Buisson, is a completely car-free Alpine village. ⛰️ The oven in Suisse, restored by local residents in the late 1990s, is a reminder of the ancient tradition of communal bread making. 🥖🔥

What to expect
Every autumn, Châtillon turns into the “capital of honey”, celebrating one of the region’s most authentic products. The festival marks the symbolic “désarpa of the bees”: beekeepers bring their hives back from the high mountain pastures to the valley for the winter, offering the fruits of a season of hard work.
✨ Highlights of the weekend
- 🍯 Guided tastings with expert producers, to discover the unique aromas of mountain honeys (rhododendron, chestnut, linden, wildflower).
- 🏺 Exhibitions of traditional beekeeping tools and stories of ancient techniques still alive today.
